What we collect
When you send an enquiry, use the trip planner or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the information you give us: your name, email address, telephone number, country of residence and whatever you tell us about the journey you have in mind.
If you go on to travel with us we will also hold booking details, passport information where a property or airline requires it, dietary and medical information you choose to share, and payment records.
Our website collects basic technical information such as pages visited and approximate location, in aggregate, to understand which parts of the site are useful.
How we use it
To answer your enquiry, design and cost an itinerary, make bookings on your behalf, and support you while you are travelling.
To send you occasional travel inspiration, if you have asked for it. Every newsletter carries a one-click unsubscribe link and we do not sell or rent our list to anybody.
To meet legal and accounting obligations in Sri Lanka.
Who we share it with
Only the suppliers necessary to deliver your trip: hotels, guides, transport operators, national park authorities and, where relevant, airlines. They receive the minimum needed to provide their service.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with advertisers.
Translation and third-party services
This site offers machine translation through Google Translate. If you choose a language other than English, page content is sent to Google for translation and Google’s own privacy terms apply to that processing. Choosing English keeps you on our source text.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted after twenty-four months. Booking and financial records are retained for the period required by Sri Lankan tax law.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to us and we will respond within thirty days.
Cookies
We use a small number of functional cookies, including one that remembers your chosen language. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
