The Kandy to Ella train gets the attention, and deserves it, but the walking is the real reward. Little Adam Peak before breakfast, Ella Rock for those with the legs for it, and the Nine Arch Bridge when the 6.40 comes through.
Evenings are cool enough for a jacket. After a week on the coast, that alone feels like a small miracle.
